Shawty is a 10 (Remix) fan video!

We love it when people send us stuff they’ve made — check out this sweet video for Shawty is a 10 (Remix) we just got:

Shawty is a 10 (remix) released!

We’re hard at work on a new original track called “Morning Light (Stay)”, but in the meantime we sort of flipped out and put together this remix of The Dream’s “Shawty is a 10.” Check out the album art — late night CES secret strip club photo FTW, baby.

Devotion released!

Devotion cover (final) Hey, it’s taken us almost a year, but Devotion has finally been released, and we’re really excited. Go here to get it right now, and come to our release party on September 20th at Chicago’s Subterranean (2011 W. North Ave) at 8:30. The show is 18+, which is a rarity, so bring everyone you know. We’ll be playing new songs, and breaking out the house version of “Don’t Stop Believing” for a triumphant second appearance. See you then!

Devotion artwork

So the H70s will probably be releasing our second single, “Devotion,” next week and I’m really happy with how the art is turning out. This isn’t the final version, but it’s close. Ten points for anyone who can identify the girl.

UPDATE: I’ve changed it to the final art. It’s much nicer now, more blended / color corrected.

A Sudden Ocean

The latest H70s video, a little mashup I did of the 2002 kungfu classic, “So Close”:

I think my version is much better than the movie, actually.

Coldest Day of the Year

After a lot of hard work and some rough patches along the way, I’m pleased to say that The Heaven Seventies have released our first single, “Coldest Day of the Year.” You can go get it from shiny new website like, right now. We’ve got some hot shit remixes on the way, as well.

We’re planning on releasing our next track, “Devotion,” shortly. You can hear a prerelease version of it on our MySpace — we think it’s pretty hot.

MORE H70S

Finally got around to doing something with the show video from the sold-out Hideout show. The overlay is the projection we used — it’s the first one I made, so I’m fairly proud of it, particularly the DDR sequence at the end. The official Heaven Seventies website is scheduled to go up next week with the release of “Coldest Day of the Year,” I can’t wait.
